Readings from the 2nd day of a recent 3-day Poetry Festival, Poets @ Artfest V

Broadcasted on Friday, August 9th, from 4-6pm EDT on CFRC 101.9fm‘s ‘finding a voice’, in this episode you’ll hear great works from the June 29th fifth and final session of the first day of a 3-day annual poetry festival, Poets @ Artfest V, you’ll hear a reading by Honey Novick. Moving into the second day of the festival you’ll hear a book launch reading by Bruce Kauffman that morning, and then a reading by Elizabeth Greene in the first full round that afternoon.In the second hour, from again the June 30th first full afternoon session of that festival, you’ll hear readings by Carole TenBrink, and Susan Gillis. Following them, from the second session, you’ll then hear a reading by John Steffler.

Restoring the Past: Susan Bazeley on Kingston’s Lower Burial Ground Restoration Society

Susan Bazelely, PhD Candidate (Geography and Planning) and co-Coordinator of Kington’s Lower Burial Ground Restoration Society joins us in studio. She sheds light on her research and the work students and community volunteers are doing in the dark recesses underneath St. Paul’s Anglican Church in order to clean up and restore monuments and grave markers in Ontario’s oldest Anglican cemetery.
