Here’s your CFRC Daily News Brief for Wednesday, November 11 2020.
There are now 13 active cases of COVID-19 in the KFLA region. Yesterday, two tests came back positive; a woman in her 40s in which transmission is still under investigation, and a male between the ages of 10 and 19, due to close contact. Please stay safe, wear your masks, sanitize your hands, and limit your social interactions with those outside your household. Besides getting tested for COVID-19, even if you’re asymptomatic, consider getting your flu shot this year. You can book an appointment to do so at the Kingston Flu Vaccine Clinic for this Friday, November 13, at the Memorial Centre.
There is a planned power outage in the Williamsville area, tomorrow at 5am to 7am for those who are customers on Princess Street from Chatham to Victoria. This power outage is necessary to allow workers to install new underground electrical distribution equipment on behalf of your electricity distributor, Kingston Hydro Corporation.
Today is remembrance day, so let us honour and remember all those who sacrifices their lives for us and this country. The City of Kingston will be hosting a Remembrance Day Civic Ceremony at 10:45 today, that you can tune into by visiting youtube.com/thecityofkingston.
