Coming up on this special Community Takeover of our airwaves, we’re talking to Gauge Roberts and the participants of Extend-A-Family Kingston’s first ever 8-week Podcast Mates workshop program, where youth learned how to create their own podcast and share their voices with the community. Extend-A-Family Kingston was established in 1981 with the goal of providing individuals who have a disability with opportunities to develop friendships and integrate into their communities. Extend-A-Family Kingston is a not-for-profit committed to providing a range of services and supports for children with developmental disabilities, physical disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorders, as well as a range of services and supports for adults with a developmental disability. Their mission is to empower people through innovation, inclusive connections, and personal growth.
