Coming up in this special Community Takeover of our airwaves, we’re delighted to welcome John Palmer and Daniel McConnachie, music director and board chair, respectively, of Orchestra Kingston, for a conversation about the orchestra, interspersed with live performances by the Orchestra’s Brass Quintet and special guest soloist, Alessia Dudle winner of the 2024 Kiwanis Plaque for outstanding Solo String Performance.
Since 2008, Orchestra Kingston has been performing concerts that feature a wide range of musical genres, with a special focus on Canadian music, often performing in collaboration with other community ensembles and professional soloists. They offer the public a concert season of high-quality symphonic music, and music education opportunities for amateur, aspiring professional and professional musicians.
