Coming up on this special Club Takeover of our airwaves, we welcome senior leadership exec Jaryd Te from QMED to talk about their 4th annual Queen’s Med Fights Cancer Charity Hockey Game, an event organized by medical students at Queen’s University supporting brain cancer research in partnership with the Canadian Cancer Society. This fundraiser began in 2023, when a student in Queen’s Med, Geordie Maguire, was diagnosed with a brain tumour. Over the last three years, QMED students, friends, and family have brought together donors, players and spectators from across the country, raising over $300,000 for brain cancer research. On March 7, students at QMed face off against staff and resident physicians at the Slush Puppie Place.
