On this edition of the Corridor CFRC’s Local Journalism Initiative reporter, Christena Lawrie, presents a story about the launch of the Isabel Bader Centre’s 10th anniversary season. LJI News Producer Jesse Bell reads three regional news stories. The first story is from the LJI Reporter for YGK News, Owen Fullerton, and it is about the response local cruise lines have had to the continued closure of the Lasalle Causeway. The second story is from the LJI Reporter for The Kingstonist, Michelle Dorey Forestell, and it covers the Federal government’s ambitious housing plan and what it could mean for the City of Kingston. The third story is from the LJI Reporter for the Morrisburg Leader, Phillip Blancher, about the successful funding of 10 projects in South Dundas and Glengarry Counties.

In other regional news, the LJI Reporter for CJAI FM, Ted Evans, provides a story about Loyalist Township’s response to the closure of Kingston’s Public Health Ontario lab. CJPE’s LJI Reporter Brenda Little with a story about a dispute over maintenance costs for County Road 49. The LJI Reporter for CFWN Cobourg, Jeff Gard with a story about a council vote on providing free transit for residents during the downtown reconstruction project. Jesse Bell with the Environment Canada weather report for the Kingston region and CFRC’s Community Concert and Events Calendar.
