Coming up on this special Community Takeover of our airwaves, we’re talking to Richard Hogan, board member of Transplant Advocate Association about the organization and BeADonor Month. There are currently over 1700 Ontarians on the organ transplant waiting list, and thousands more waiting for tissue transplants. While more than 90% of eligible Ontarians indicate that they are in favour of organ donation, only 35% are registered to be organ donors. The Transplant Advocate Association (TAA) is a regional support organization and registered charity, whose mission is to help improve those outcomes throughout their region which includes Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox & Addington, Peterborough, Lanark, Leeds & Grenville counties.
