Coming up on this special Community Takeover of our airwaves, we’re talking to Liz and Marion from AKA Autonomous Social Centre, an anticapitalist, antistate, and anticolonial autonomous organizing space in Katarokwi/Kingston since 2008. AKA is home to the Blue Heron Books and Zines community bookstore and zine distribution shop. They strive to provide and promote radical, anarchist and anti-authoritarian books and media less readily available from mainstream sources or local venues such as libraries. Folks are also invited to come by during AKA’s open hours to read in the space, and engage in conversations with each other, collective members, and volunteers – they aim to promote the exchange of ideas.
